Portraits in Rocky Mount

People ask me a lot if I do portraits. I've changed my answer over time from "I can but it's not really what I enjoy," to "No, but there are other great portrait artists in Rocky Mount." I think every artist has to, at some point, define what they "do." I have always loved depicting places. I love people too, but I find portraits stressful whereas buildings and landscapes are a stress-reliever.

On that note, I've really enjoyed looking at the art of Katrina Parker Williams lately. She is a portrait artist in Rocky Mount and fellow fan of Norman Rockwell. I would definitely suggest checking out her stuff:
